Matchweek 25
Liverpool vs City ...and Arsenal fans didn't need to panic.
Hello! We have a short and sweet Prem Report today as we will also have midweek games on Tuesday! We are into the last third of the season, and it looks like the title is Arsenals to lose.
Actually it kind of looks like everything is Arsenals to lose, the team is currently in the lead/final/contention in four major competitions: The Carabao Cup Final (against City), They are #1 in the Champions league going into the knockout stages, they are top of the Prem, and are in the fourth round of the FA Cup.
They could potentially take the Quadruple with four major trophies, which would be absolutely mental. Time will tell, but I think the Gunners trophy cabinet cleaner might need to start clearing out some cobwebs.

Matchweek 25 Fixtures
Friday, February 6
🦉 Leeds United 3 vs 0 Nottingham Forest — 76th min. USA
Saturday, February 7
🟥 Manchester United vs 🐓 Tottenham — 4:30 AM NBC
The “Michael Carrick” effect is real, United have won three straight league games since his appointment and have a bit of “Ferginess” about their play. They even have with two stoppage-time winners in this run.
Tottenham arrive winless in six Premier League matchups but will be pretty pumped after a monster draw (if that exists) against City last week. United have struggled against spurs of late (D3 L3), over their last six matches…but that was before Mr. McRick arrived.
Should be a good match!
🍒 Bournemouth vs ⭕ Aston Villa — 7:00 AM Peacock
Villa keep giving people hope, only to self sabotage and dash that exact same hope. Last week didn’t help matters; Villa lost 1-0 to 10-man Brentford despite completing 355 passes in the second half.
Bournemouth have scored 11 goals in their last five, and will be keen to keep Emi Martinez busy.
🔫 Arsenal vs 🐈⬛ Sunderland — 7:00 AM Peacock
🟣 Burnley vs ⚒️ West Ham — 7:00 AM Peacock
🏠 Fulham vs 🟦 Everton — 7:00 AM Peacock
🐺 Wolves vs 🦁 Chelsea — 7:00 AM Peacock
⚫️ Newcastle vs 🐝 Brentford — 9:30 AM USA
Sunday February 8
🐧 Brighton vs 🦅 Crystal Palace — 6:00 AM Peacock
🔴 Liverpool vs 🌙 Manchester City — 8:30 AM NBC
The match of the week is going to be played over at Anfield as Manchester City bring their dwindling/brittle title hopes to an up and coming Liverpool team.
City won their EFL Cup semi, and will play Arsenal In March at Wembley. But besides that, their start to 2026 has been a bit of a downer, only winning one of their six Premier League matches (D4 L1).
Erling Haaland’s struggles have been front and center in recent weeks, and this week doesn’t look to let up. Anfield is one of just two grounds he has played at without ever scoring in the Premier League (three times), along with the Stadium of Light (once). Let’s see if his is up to the challenge.
Liverpool have certainly improved in recent weeks, with no side losing fewer Premier League games than the Reds since MW13 (P12 W5 D6 L1)
As always expect this matchup to bring a bit of fire and spice.
Enjoy!
