Missing seats, title challengers meet, and who let all these kids in the league?

Matchweek 3 is here, and just in case you forgot, last week Spurs beat City. (I just felt like I needed to say that again.)

But this is a new week! Sundays big match is Liverpool and Arsenal playing what could be the title deciding match. JK but seriously though, it’s kind of a big deal.

Extra Slice

We decided (unintentionally) to keep continue with last weeks Extra Slices theme of youth in the Premier League… but this time with players.

Last weekend saw Liverpools 16 year old winger Rio Ngumoha, score the game winner in their match against Newcastle (sorry not sorry if I just ruined that for you). Arsenal also fielded a kid that could have been your little brother, in their weekend match, as Max Dowman (15 years old) made his PL Debut.

Dowman is the 2nd youngest PL player of all time (All Time List) and made a positive impact for the Gunners, winning them a penalty in their obliteration of Leeds.

Typically teams give debuts to youngsters during the last few games of a season once there place in the table is settled. For youngsters to get a chance at the start of a campaign is very exciting and could mean we may be seeing some potentially truly special talent... stay tuned

Till next time.
