Who will go down? Decision day!
Well sonofagun… they actually did it.
After three, yes THREE consecutive second-place finishes, Arsenal are Premier League champions. Manchester City's draw at Bournemouth on Tuesday confirmed it, and the Emirates absolutely lost its mind. Mikel Arteta, the man who was mocked for drawing hearts and brains holding hands, for blasting YNWA at his players before an Anfield trip, for asking everyone to "trust the process" through two eighth-place finishes — that man just delivered Arsenal their first league title in 22 years. I’m about as surprised as the ball boy in this clip
With the title all buttoned up, this seasons final Prem Report is all about Relegation, Totenham and West Ham are playing the most important games of the day by FAR. We also put some teary goodbye clips at the end as the league says goodbye to Pep and Mo.
It’s truly the end of an Era

Matchweek 38 Fixtures
Sunday, May 24
🐧 Brighton vs 🟥 Manchester United — 8:00 AM - USA
🟣 Burnley vs 🐺 Wolves — 8:00 AM - Peacock
🦅 Crystal Palace vs 🔫 Arsenal — 8:00 AM - USA
The champions take their lap of honor at the Emirates Sunday as a way to stay sharp leading up to their Champions League final on the 30th. Here are some interesting stats from Arsenal’s title winning season: 1. They broke the Premier League record for corner goals this season with 18. 2. Their substitutes contributed more goals and assists than any other team. 3.They outran their opponents in 35 of 37 games. Say what you will about how they won it, but this team definitely put in the work. Palace will be doing their best to spoil the party, they've got nothing to lose and a Conference League final of their own to feel good about. Should be a celebration regardless.
🏠 Fulham vs ⚫️ Newcastle — 8:00 AM - Peacock
🔴 Liverpool vs 🐝 Brentford — 8:00 AM - USA
🌙 Manchester City vs ⭕ Aston Villa — 8:00 AM - NBC
🌲 Nottingham Forest vs 🍒 Bournemouth — 8:00 AM - Peacock
🐈⬛ Sunderland vs 🦁 Chelsea — 8:00 AM - Peacock
🐓 Tottenham vs 🟦 Everton — 8:00 AM - Peacock
Meanwhile up the road at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the team who won the Europa League twelve months ago will be sweating out their Premier League survival. A draw against Everton will certainly do it for Spurs given the goal difference gap. But this is where it gets uncomfortable. Tottenham have won just two PL home games all season 😬 and there's a well-documented phenomenon among football fans called "Dr Tottenham" (the remarkable ability of Spurs to cure whatever ails their opponents). This season alone they've ended four of the nine longest winless streaks in the league, including Chelsea's seven-game drought just this week. Everton arrive without a win in six. You can see where this is going. Opta puts Spurs overall relegation probability at just 14.5% but spurs have been known to overcome the odds before…
⚒️ West Ham vs 🦉 Leeds — 8:00 AM - Peacock
Well West Ham you need one thing and one thing only… a win. Nuno's side sit two points behind Spurs with a vastly inferior goal difference, meaning only a win combined with a Spurs L can save them. The home record actually offers some genuine hope — West Ham have lost just once at the London Stadium since January, and that was against eventual champions Arsenal after (VAR nearly gave them a draw.) But sadly for them, Leeds arrive super super hot.( unbeaten in eight) History is also brutally unkind to their position: since 2011, only one team has ever jumped out of the relegation zone on the final day of the Premier League season in 15 years (funnily enough, it was Leeds). Opta gives West Ham an 86.3% chance of going down….but computers are wrong all the time… right chatgpt?

End of the Season Sendoff
Thanks for joining us in reading the Prem Report this year. The season really went in a different direction than expected and kept us (and every coach) on our toes. I think we all need to prepare for a very different league next season in both character and quality of play.
With big names leaving, and exciting new arrivals (Welcome back Coventry, Hull, and Ipswich, oh and Xabi) the “changing of the guard” is in full swing. I think the odds of another team outside of the big 5 winning the league is going to skyrocket. And I’m hopefully that we will see more of a move towards the fast paced, defensively crushing, and exciting attacking play that we all love to see.
Till next time,
-Gabe
