Matches

🔥 Headline Match: City vs Bournemouth
Man City head back to the Etihad licking their wounds after a “shock” FA Cup final loss to Crystal Palace. With Kovacic doubtful and top-five security now in question, City need goals…like yesterday, especially after going scoreless in back-to-back games for the first time since 2022.
Bournemouth, meanwhile, are built for chaos. They’ve only lost once in their last 12 away games and lead the league in shot-ending high turnovers (65) and hitting the woodwork (22 times!). The Cherries are fearless and chasing their first-ever league double over City. All eyes on Evanilson, who’s bagged five in his last five road starts.
Champions League Implications
How close is the race for Champions League qualifying? City currently sits in 6th place (outside of qualifying) if they TIE Bournemouth today, then they will LAUNCH up to 3rd place (on goal differential). In other words we have three teams sitting on 66 points (see table section below), a tie from city would make it four teams.
⚽️ Palace vs Wolves
Crystal Palace will be without captain Marc Guehi and midfielder Adam Wharton after both sustained injuries in their historic FA Cup final win, but the good vibes continue as they chase a club-record 52-point Premier League finish. The Eagles have won six of their last eight against Wolves and are unbeaten in their final home league game in 11 of the past 12 seasons. Meanwhile, Wolves limp in on a two-game scoreless skid, haven’t won in London in their last 23 tries, and are the only PL team this season yet to be awarded a penalty. Get ready for some dives.
Extra Slice
Second Season Wizard

Wednesday’s Europa League final will be his 100th match in charge of Spurs: A win over Manchester United would send them to the Champions League next season and confirm Ange’s “I always win things in my second year” gifting. Despite Spurs sitting 17th in the league and 45 points behind Liverpool, one game could flip the script on a wild, underwhelming campaign.
This wouldn’t be new territory for Ange. He’s got second-year silverware from South Melbourne, Brisbane Roar, Yokohama F. Marinos, Australia, and Celtic. In fact, the only clubs he didn’t win trophies with are the ones he didn’t stay at long enough to get a second full season.
His track record is eerily consistent, and if it holds up, Wednesday we could see Tottenham join Palace in the Breakinglongtrophydroughts Club.
